What's it all about?

Supporters of capitalism say that despite greed, selfishness and exploitation inherent in the system, it is the best that we have. History has shown that communism, seen as the only alternative, is perhaps worse, both in violating human rights and bringing about economic misery. But is there really no other alternative?

We believe that PROUT is a better alternative to both capitalism and communism. It provides guiding principles and practical strategies for economic growth in harmony with ecological sustainability. Most importantly, PROUT calls for economic democracy which will give economic power to people and their communities rather than the owners of capital (in capitalism) or the one-party state (in communism).

Join us in the movement for economic democracy.

Reports show that UK's income gap is the widest since 60s. There has been an increase in child pover… Continue
